New Shiny Curtains for the Sewing Room!

These had to be the easiest curtains I have ever made!  Found the fabric at JoAnn's Fabric during a 1/2 off sale!  Perfect for the sun room (sewing room) because the fabric is like a canvas and should last a long time.  I have to be very careful what I put in this room because of the direct sunlight.
Ran to Lowe's and purchased a package of 20 screw hooks, 6" x 3-3/8" for holding of the rods.  Found some old curtain rods buried in the garage and used those.  Made nice 3" ties on each end of curtain so  you don't have to worry about unsightly hardware showing!
Hope you are having a great Saturday!

And You Thought SnipItUp Was On Vacation!

We have been covered in thread from top to bottom for a couple of weeks!

While the computer was down with the flu (apparently the computer folks lost all our files!) we took advantage of the spare time to make new quilts. Computer is feeling oh-h so good with a new hard drive, ram and software.  Be sure to check out the store this Saturday to see the new items.  etsy.com/shop/snipitup

Fun Weekend Project!

Found this old wood spool from an electrical company in Irvine and turned it into a usable cottage style bookcase.   Really easy to do...just sand, mark and drill holes on top and bottom for 3/4" dowels.  Cut dowels to size and apply with glue. Applied an off white stain with a cotton cloth and that was that!
